Hot Crab Dip

HOT CRAB DIP
I experimented with my family and friends and we decided on the best of two recipes.  I used freshly picked crab meat and a combination of several different recipes. I hope you like it!

WHAT YOU NEED:
1/4 cup of mayonaise
1/2 cup of sour cream
1 package of cream cheese softened
1 tbsp of dijon mustard
8 oz of cheddar cheese
1/2 of an onion chopped
3/4 - 1 lb of crab meat
shredded parmasan cheese

In a big bowl add in mayo.

Add in sour cream.

Add in softened cream cheese and stir.
Add in cheddar cheese.
Add in dijon mustard.

Add in chopped onion.

Stir all together.

FOLD in crab.

Add to greased dish.

Add parmasan cheese on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Broil on High for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.

You can either eat these with club crackers or with multi-seed crackers. It's good both ways!

Crab Pesto Flatbread

CRAB PESTO FLATBREAD

Hubby and I had this in a restaurant so I came home and recreated it the next day. So yummy!

WHAT YOU NEED:
Pizza Dough - recipe for awesome pizza dough on this blog
Olive oil spray
Pesto - homemade is best
Roasted Red Peppers
Goat Cheese
Jumbo Lump Crab meat
Parmasan Cheese
Mozzarella Cheese

Spray olive oil on a baking sheet. Split the dough into two pieces and spread one piece onto the baking sheet. Take a fork and poke many holes into the dough so that it won't puff up.

For best results, make your own pesto and freeze it so that you can use it at another time. Break off pieces of the pesto when you're ready to use it.

When the pesto is thawed (5-10 mins) spread it on the dough.

Chop up roasted red peppers into small pieces and spread around over pesto.

Add Crab.

Sprinkle goat cheese. As much or as little as you want.

Add parmasan and mozzarella to your liking. I only like a little cheese on top so that it doesn't dilute the taste of the other ingredients.

Bake at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

Slice and serve.
